Challenge
DKV was seeking a technological solution for its patients with musculoskeletal injuries to follow their therapeutic exercises from home.
Its goal was to improve the insured’s experience by offering a new healthcare service that guarantees the continuity of therapies in exceptional situations such as confinements or cases of itinerant patients or those with reduced mobility. Solution
DKV incorporated the ReHub platform for home-based physical rehabilitation across all its centers. After, one week of implementation and training, physiotherapists were able to provide telerehabilitation sessions in combination with face-to-face sessions, allowing the best therapeutic effectiveness to be achieved. Thanks to ReHub, a center’s physiotherapist can provide a remote service in addition to the face-to-face service, allowing for the best therapeutic effectiveness.
With ReHub, physiotherapists can now program digital therapeutic exercises for their patients much more efficiently, personalized, and with precise data of the degree of compliance with treatment. By following their exercises through ReHub, DKV patients receive clear instructions for performing their exercises and have the opportunity to contact their physiotherapist via chat or video call to resolve questions.

With the ReHub platform, DKV offers physical rehabilitation services anywhere and anytime. In this way, the company has reinforced its commitment to telemedicine and has improved the quality of rehabilitation services and the users’ experience.
The use of ReHub is being progressively expanded to the entire network of more than 1,000 DKV collaborating centers throughout Spain.
