Challenge
Driven by its vision and values, DKV sought to implement a technological solution that would help patients with musculoskeletal injuries continue their therapeutic exercise regimens independently from home.
Their goal was to improve the insured’s experience by offering a new care model through a reliable and secure tool that would allow for greater patient involvement outside the clinic, without compromising the time dedicated by healthcare professionals. At the same time, they needed to guarantee the continuity of therapies in exceptional situations such as lockdowns due to health reasons or for patients who travel or have mobility difficulties.
Solution
DKV incorporated the ReHub telerehabilitation platform into its healthcare facilities and partner centers, providing training to staff, and the service was operational in less than a week. Thanks to ReHub, physiotherapists at a center can provide remote services in addition to in-person appointments, allowing them to achieve optimal therapeutic effectiveness.
With ReHub, physiotherapists can now program exercise routines for their patients much more efficiently and, unlike before, can obtain objective and precise data on treatment adherence. By following their exercises through ReHub, DKV patients receive clear instructions and have the opportunity to contact their physiotherapist via chat or video call to resolve any questions.
Results
With the ReHub platform, DKV offers physical rehabilitation services anywhere and anytime. In this way, the company has reinforced its commitment to telemedicine and has improved the quality of rehabilitation services and the users’ experience.
Given this harvest of good results, the use of ReHub is being progressively expanded to the entire network of more than 1,000 DKV partner centers throughout Spain.
