Is an initiative launched by the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence in August 2022 through a public call for proposals.
The projects were approved in December 2022 and are funded by Next Generation EU European funds under the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Reactive
Develops a comprehensive technological platform to assess and treat sarcopenia in older adults through the use of sensors, computer vision, and personalised telerehabilitation.
It introduces a novel functional digital biomarker that enables continuous monitoring and explainable AI–based therapeutic recommendations.
The project is being validated through a clinical study in collaboration with Hospital del Mar, aimed at demonstrating its impact on strength, mobility, quality of life, and patient adherence.
Reactiva Objective
Sarcopenia no longer needs to progress silently. With REACTIVA, clinical teams gain a comprehensive and continuous view of the patient’s functional status, while older adults receive a treatment that is more effective, more personalised, and more motivating.

REACTIVA combines high-precision motion sensors, computer vision, and a home-based exercise programme to create a digital biomarker that measures strength, mobility, and functional progression in real time.
