The Ricky Rubio Foundation x DyCare: Technology, Exercise, and Hope in Lung Cancer Recovery

At DyCare, we believe rehabilitation goes far beyond technology: it’s an opportunity to restore strength, confidence, and quality of life at life’s most critical moments.
That’s why we’re proud to announce our collaboration with The Ricky Rubio Foundation on LungFit—an initiative that brings together digital innovation and social commitment to support lung cancer patients throughout their recovery journey.

A Shared Vision: Rehabilitation Beyond Hospital Walls

It all began with a simple yet powerful question:

How can we support patients beyond the hospital walls?

Vanesa Rodríguez-Salés and her team at The Ricky Rubio Foundation had observed a recurring challenge: even after completing therapeutic exercise programs, many patients continued to face major obstacles:

  • They didn’t know how to continue exercising safely at home.
  • They were afraid of doing it wrong.
  • They felt alone.
  • And professionals lacked the tools to support them remotely.

With these unmet needs in mind, LungFit was born: a comprehensive recovery model for people with lung cancer that combines physical exercise, emotional support, and digital tools.

DyCare’s Technology: Personalized and Accessible Digital Rehabilitation

That’s where DyCare comes in. With ReHub, our telerehabilitation platform powered by AI and computer vision, patients can follow their rehabilitation program from home—with the same precision and safety as in-person sessions.

👀 Our technology tracks up to 60 body points through the camera of a mobile phone or tablet.
📊 It analyzes range of motion, repetitions, incorrect postures, and movement speed.
💬 All under the remote supervision of the clinical team, who can make real-time adjustments and communicate via chat or video call.

This way, every patient receives a personalized, easy-to-follow therapeutic plan that adapts to their progress and needs.

LungFit x DyCare: A New Standard in Cancer Recovery

Thanks to this partnership, 120 lung cancer patients will benefit from a therapeutic exercise program tailored to their disease stage—combining group and individual sessions with continuous digital follow-up.

And this is just the beginning. Over the past 18 months, DyCare has supported more than 2,000 oncology patients (including breast and abdominal cancer), achieving over 70% adherence rates and significant improvements in quality of life.

With LungFit, the expected outcomes are clear:

✅ Improved quality of life (with gains of more than 5 points on validated scales).
✅ Increased autonomy and treatment adherence.
✅ Higher patient satisfaction thanks to continuous support.
✅ Demonstrable functional improvement (e.g., +100 meters in the 6-Minute Walk Test).

A Bridge Between Innovation and Humanity

In the words of Silvia Raga, CEO of DyCare:

“We’re proud of what this project represents: a bridge between technological innovation and truly person-centered care. We want every patient, no matter where they are, to have access to effective, human, and evidence-based rehabilitation.”

And as Vanesa Rodríguez-Salés from The Ricky Rubio Foundation puts it:

“This isn’t just rehabilitation. It’s safety, confidence, and real tools to keep moving forward—physically and emotionally.”

Together, Toward a More Human Recovery

LungFit x DyCare is not just a project. It’s a statement of values:
That recovery must be comprehensive.
That technology must serve people.
And that every patient deserves to feel supported, empowered, and capable of rebuilding their life.

💙 Thank you to everyone who is making this possible.
💪 Let’s keep building a future where digital health is within everyone’s reach.
